Vintage Jewelry

While here in California I got a chance to meet one of my dad’s friends, who was kind enough to let me have his late mother’s jewelry. My father had shown him my blog, and he thought that I would be able to make good use of her collection. Boy was he right!
She had a blend of tribal flair, and Hollywood chic. What really stuck out to me was a little, light-blue box. That’s right, bloggers, I had just scored a Tiffany and Co. necklace! It was a gorgeous sterling silver heart! Among the items I found a copper brooch with a face on a detailed background. Don’t overlook brooches! They can add the perfect detail to a solid, fabric belt or scarf. Another very promising item I found was a stunning pair of black and diamond Givenchy earrings.
Needless to say, most of the jewelry here needs a bit of cleaning… But considering their age I’m impressed! Just wanted to share with you guys all of these amazing pieces! A good tip is to let your family and friends know that if they’re ever going to throw out any clothes or jewelry to—instead—give you a ring first. That way you can salvage and recycle some serious new style.

Make sure to look for these pieces in my upcoming blog posts! Have a good week!
