I’ve been madly thrifting and collecting new pieces. I found this dress and handbag while at an estate sale in Little Rock. The lady who owned it had a fabulous collection and impeccable taste. I even found some furniture pieces while I was there.

Here’s one of the other pieces I found at the same sale.. I love the back detail of the chair. I’m thinking If I can get a beautiful velvet to pull some color out of the back I can fix up the seat with it. I’m not sure the age of the chair or anything so if anyone knows I’d love to hear what the age is. P.s…sorry for the messy room.. I just snapped this picture really quick.

Have a great week! 🙂

One of my style inspirations has always been Ann Reinking’s wardrobe in Annie(1982). It had such a romantic feel that is so classic. I wanted to take an older style and update it. That’s the thing about inspirations – you can take what’s the most you and run with it. Now let me state by saying I would wear everything she wore in that movie in a heart beat. This yellow dress always seemed kinda dreamy to me. So my inspiration came from Chiffon – It’s a sheer fabric with movement.

I decided to pair my chiffon top and scarf with a darker suede skirt and heels to offset the softness. I always love to hear about what inspires people – even if they are the tiniest detail of something. What’s your inspiration?

I wish I could have posted the full set earlier because I absolutely loved doing this shoot with Myranda. We did three separate outfit shoots. We found a great spot in Little Rock for this set. It really speaks for itself. I will be posting the other ones as soon as possible because It’s exciting to see the finished product and I really wanna share. We are currently talking about a fun shoot for July – It will be a retro bridal shoot and I can’t wait!

This blush pink dress was a thrift find in Hot Springs. Adding the silk colorful scarf highlighted the neckline. It’s a classic look that can be more fun for a date night than just a typical LBD.

Layering for comfort is a must in the winter, especially in the colder areas!. Knee high socks are in, but like some other pieces the socks can completely change the tone of the outfit. I prefer to wear tights with the knee highs for a more sophisticated look. This is my go- to comfort look when It’s freezing outside.

Hey there! I’ve been working and decorating my room a bit. I will try to take pictures of the finished product! But I’ve yet to even paint! Haha.

So I know one of the more expensive pieces to buy during the winter is boots. Since there are all types of styles it’s hard to decide which pair to splurge on. I’ve come to a consensus and decided this year I wasn’t going to replenish my comfy riding boots that I love so much. I bought from Sam & Libby brand boots from Target last year, but I’d prefer to spend more money on boots that will last longer. I actually got these leather ones at a rummage sale in August. It’s a once-a-year sale and it’s AMAZING. I bought these for $5 and didn’t even think to look on the inside because they had practically no wear..

Later on I ended up realizing I scored a pair of Bally boots! I was absolutely thrilled because I thought they were just some random brand. Sometimes the best finds are ones you never realized you got. .

I hope everyone has a great Friday! 🙂

This 100% silk skirt came from Goodwill! The pattern is somewhat art deco, and the belt added emphasis to the irregular lines. I had been looking for a replica of the Valentino shoes I like, and these were a cute and affordable find. I decided to use makeup that popped while using a more neutral blouse. I used gold accessories to bring it all together. I thought this ivy would be a nice border while it’s still around – green things tend to disappear quickly around here when fall begins!

Summer is officially coming to an end, and it’s going to be an amazing fall! I wanted to do one last summery post because it’s still so hot here, it feels like summer is just beginning. I loved this dress, so I wanted to feature it while I still could. I have some exciting fall posts in store for this coming month. I’d love to hear some feedback on what you’d like to see! If you’re interested in pictures from my interior design work, I could show some of that as well. The houses I get to visit are amazing.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day.

While I was in Bentonville last weekend I ended up strolling around an amazing little shopping area. I wore my pink J. Crew dress.  Since it was so simple, I felt like my overall outfit really needed something. Since I’ve never gotten to do a flower crown in one of my posts, I figured that it was a perfect opportunity. I found a really inviting flower shop called Shirley’s Flower Studio. The lady who worked there was very helpful, and made me a crown to match my dress in a matter of minutes. She also directed us to Bogel’s Garden City Nursery, which provided a nice backdrop for the shoot.

Hopefully everyone has been getting some sunny weather, because I know I needed some!

Have a good day 🙂
